Hello, my name is Jana.
I have always had sport in my life competing as a runner when I was younger. During that time it seemed so easy to know what to eat and how much. However at some point I lost my way.
When I finished competing, exercise still stayed in my life as a stress relief from my hectic work career. But then things started going wrong, I would be training 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, trying all the latest diets, cutting out carbs, fat, fruit, whatever seemed to be the latest 'fashion'. Yet none of these seemed to work, instead I found myself permanently tired, out of energy, weak, I lost all my muscles and strength and I would catch every cold or bug going around.
It was at this point I decided to stop listening to the latest 'fad' diets or to all those people who promised you remarkable results in 4 weeks as long as you followed their new plan. Instead I decided to do my own research, so I could make my own decisions and back it up with proven facts.
This is when I discovered that healthy eating and exercise is a lifestyle, not a short term fix, and that it needs to be sustainable, not something that takes over your life. I finally understood that sometimes less is more with exercise and that starving the body can actually be as harmful as overeating.
Suddenly I had more energy, I felt healthier, happier and I noticed changes in my body as well. I was stronger, my body toned up and was I performing better. So I decided to share this knowledge with other people, so they could learn from my experience and mistakes.
Because I don't want people to have to go through what I went through and I believe I can do that by helping as many people as I can to learn how to have a happy, healthy lifestyle.
