Chestnuts are in season right now, which makes me very happy because I love them. Here is one of my favourites that I love to have on a slice of toast, Chestnut & mushroom pate
Ingredients
- 1 cup chestnuts, roasted and peeled
- 2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 400g Mushrooms
- 100g Tvaroh
Method
- Chop the chestnuts and mushrooms and mix with the water and vinegar
- Heat the oil in a pan and cook the onions and garlic until they re soft
- Add the chestnut mix and cook until mushrooms and chestnuts are soft
- Mix the chestnut mix with the tvaroh and then use a food processor to blend until it is smooth
