I love dark chocolate, it is one of my favourite treats. So I decided to try making my own. This recipe is for quite a bitter chocolate so if you like your chocolate sweet you can add a little more honey. Plus you can experiment and add i.e. almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, dried fruit, chilli or any other ingredients to your taste.
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Cup Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Salt
Method
- Melt the coconut oil and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl
- Pour the mixture into a dish or mould (I placed baking paper on a plate)
- Place in the freezer for about 30 minutes or in the fridge for 60 minutes until it has set
- Store the chocolate in the fridge and enjoy
