On cold, rainy days I love to curl up in bed and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Unfortunately the ready made, instant brands are normally full of added sugar and chemicals. So that is why I am sharing with you my recipe for healthy, homemade, hot chocolate.
Ingredients (1 serving)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Method
- whisk together the milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and cinnamon in a bowl until there are no lumps left
- heat the mixture in a saucepan over a low heat (do not boil it)
- add the honey and stir in
- serve the hot chocolate in your favourite mug!
