Do you find that you start the New Year making promises that they are going to exercise more or eat healthier? But then in a few weeks you have already broken your resolutions? That is why I have written a few tips to help you keep your resolutions and achieve your goals
Big resolutions can be difficult to keep as you can get overwhelmed and don't know where to start. Instead set smaller goals that help you build up to your big goal. This will allow you to see results and have success much more often and will keep you motivated
If you set yourself a big goal or try and make lots of changes at the same time it can become overwhelming and cause you to give up. Concentrate on making one or two changes at a time and when you achieve these set yourself new goals
You aren't going to be perfect all the time. The main thing is not to worry when you do make mistakes or have small setbacks. If you do break your resolution don't let it get you down and don't give up. Just promise yourself you will continue the next day and keep up your hard work!
Write down you resolutions on a piece of paper and put them somewhere you can see them. This can be in your diary, on your fridge, or even keep the paper with you in your pocket. Having a physical reminder of your resolution will remind you of why you made them in the first place
Keep a list of everything you achieve and all the success you have. Anytime you feel down or you want to quit have a look at the list and see how far you have come already
