Squat Jumps - one of the most effective exercises to build your booty and burn fat, that can be done without equipment and simply use your own body weight (i love this exercise, that's why you often see me doing squat jumps or similar in my exercise videos). Though TECHNIQUE IS VERY IMPORTANT (that is with every exercise)!!
When doing my exercises I normally do 20 reps & 5 sets, simply because I have been doing HIIT - high intensive interval training for a while now and built the strength, but if you are just starting with these exercises, 10-15 reps and 4 sets is plenty! It's better to do 10 good technique squats/squat jumps than fast 30 reps that compromise your technique!!
Learn how to do them: stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Start by doing a regular squat, than engage your core and jump up explosively. When you land, lower your body back into squat position to complete 1 rep. Land as quietly as possible, which requires control.
Do two to three sets of 10 reps to start with to work on your technique. Make sure to use your whole foot to jump, not just your toes, and try not to let your shoulders lean out beyond your knees, as this can strain and injure your back!
